The daily round includes teaching, preparing lessons, social calls (mostly on fellow Britons), prayer meetings, reading, studying Arabic, and taking walks. She has a period of leave in England from June to September 1910, during which she attends missionary conferences in Edinburgh and Baslow and visits friends and family in London, Preston and Cambridge.
