Includes the following: Factories Bill, 1933, loose at front; copy correspondence and papers on the Commission's work, including an article in the Economic Journal by G T Garratt, 1932, and a follow-up to the same by J H Whitley in the Economic Journal 1933; report of a 'Survey of Women Workers in Jute Mills, 1931-2' by M I Balfour, with a related letter to Beryl Power, 18 July 1932; in middle of volume, letters to BP 1931-32, including a letter from Wedgwood Benn at the India Office, 25 August 1931, thanking her for her work on the Commission, and a letter from J H Whitley, 2 January 1932; towards end of volume, letters 1931-32 concerning the award to BP of the Royal Society of Arts silver medal for her paper on 'Indian Labour Conditions'; articles by BP in 'New India' 27 July and 4 August 1932 on 'Indian Labor Conditions' (being the substance of a paper given to the Royal Society of Arts on 6 May 1932); and, at end of volume, syllabus for a weekend school to be held in Ashington, Northumberland, 27-28 January 1934, on 'The Making of Industrial Workers in India and Russia', for which BP was the Tutor.
