Letter from Mary Howitt to Bessie Parkes, headed 'Wednesday'
Scope and Contents
Mary tells Bessie that Annie [her daughter Anna Mary Howitt] is away from Rome and expected back any day, by way of letting Bessie know why her letter has not yet been replied to. She is pleased that Anna is in the country doing nothing. She says William [?] Rossiter wishes to see Anna but he is not to come until he has heard from her. William is very unwell and Mary would like him to go away from Rome as soon as his book is finished.
