Letter from Anna Mary Howitt to Bessie Parkes, addressed from 24 Grove Terrace, Kentish Town, NW, 1864
Scope and Contents
Anna is sorry to hear of Bessie’s anxiety over the E[nglish] W[oman’s] J[ournal] and asks if it really must be given up. She would like Bessie to visit for an evening to talk things over. She asks her to dine at 4pm the next Sunday. Anna feels that if the EWJ must ‘die’, it will rise again ‘in a more perfected form’
