Written at Fordfield in Cambridge; on holiday in Clare, Suffolk; at Aunt Bice's in London; in Farnham, Surrey; and at The Brook, Sawston, Cambs [home of Uncle Eustace and family]. P. 138: gives 'my summary', in which the tone changes to nearly 7 pages of introspection on the nature of her diary and herself, with some religious overtones and some comment on family members. At back, pasted in: sepia snap of 'Our Australian cousins - - Patience, Faith, Alison, Honor (surname Tillyard)'.
