Is 'cheered by hearing that the beginning at Hitchin looks so happy and promising'. Making even half a dozen lives better is a great thing to work for. About giving her and Mr Lewes's books to the College library, the copyright is owned by their publishers and she is reluctant to ask for many books, but she will send some. Letter and envelope, addressed to The College, Hitchin.
