This section relates chiefly to the legalisation of cannabis campaign in the 1960s. [In April 1967 the Advisory Committee on Drug Dependence of the UK Home Office appointed a sub-committee under BW to enquire into the use of marijuana and hashish - the committee published its report in 1968]. Also included in this section are BW's House of Lords statements on various subjects, in particular cannabis and firearms, and questions put by her to the government.
