Scan of a letter written by Gladys Skelton [later Bendit] to 'My dear Francis' [Francis Bendit]. Addressed from Maida Vale, London. The letter was written to accompany a gift of a 'batch of early work'. The letter is not dated but it is presumed to predate G S's marriage to F B [1943] and to postdate the publication of 'Monmouth', which she mentions in the letter [King Monmouth, a historical drama, was published in 1916]. She signs the letter 'John' [ie her pen name, John Presland].
