The letters contain news of the following: mutual Girton acquaintances; personal events; B J’s work, including meetings and conferences attended; travel; Girton College Computer Symposium in 1969; the work of B J’s husband Harold; meetings of the Manchester Association of Cambridge University Women; and mutual interests in mathematics. A letter of 13 December 1976 discusses the proposed admission of men to Girton – B J says ‘I believe this is the... right course for us’.
