She concludes that 'Custom and some degree of prejudice close the doors of most of the learned Societies against women. In that respect we are little better off than our predecessors of fifty years ago. But when we meet on neutral ground I have always found the attitude of scientific men most generous to women workers. We cannot but regret that we are so often excluded from the stimulus of comradeship'. 3 copies.
