Photocopy of pp 5-7 of The Raven [a magazine produced by past and present Girtonians and published on May 1st 1922 in aid of the Russian Famine Relief Fund, 3 copies of original at GCCP 5/1]. The Haunted Valley is an essay by Eileen Power based on her account of a visit to the retreat of Sir Reginald Johnston [tutor to the young Manchu emperor, Pu Yi] in the Western Hills, Cherry Glen, in China in 1921.
