 File
Reference Code: GBR/0271/GCPP Power, E 3/1

Scope and Contents

5 volumes, as follows:
Book of poems, written and illustrated (in colour) by Eileen Power aged 14-16, 1903-1905 (includes 2 loose poems / illustrations - 'My Lady at the Play' & 'My Lady's Hair');
'Some Roumanian Ballads' copied and illustrated by EEP for Dorothy Robinson September 1904;
Poems by EEP (marked Vol. 2), 1905-1907;
Translations by EEP of poems from French and German 1905-1910;
'The Intractable Princess', a fairy story about the royal family who ruled over the red city of Girton, 'dedicated to my director of studies, 1918'. [A researcher notes, June 2022, that the author of this story can't be EEP as she herself was a director of studies in 1918; also that it is not in the hand of EEP. It could have been written by Margaret Welsby, as she drew the caricatures and also wrote 'the Great Panjandrum' featuring Eileen Power and other members of Girton staff.]
