Two letters from Eileen Power to Zachary Brooke, dated 19 and 26 April 1926, 1926
Scope and Contents
In the first letter E P discusses her book, ‘Medieval English Nunneries’, and says that Professor [Alexander] Hamilton Thompson, with whom she left the manuscript while travelling abroad in 1920, had made additions to it without her knowledge which, while useful, may not be fully accurate. In the second, she discusses additional information from Prof [Alexander] Hamilton Thompson and from Zachary Brooke himself and wishes that she had known in time to get relevant corrections into her errata list for the book. [Z N Brooke, 1883-1946, was a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and Professor of Medieval History in the University of Cambridge.]
