Scope and Contents
Notebooks containing notes on the literature for Machina Carnis [see also GCPP Needham 4/1/15]. The notebooks were originally housed in brown plastic coverings which, in turn, were housed in three specially made wooden boxes. Most of the notebooks were labelled by Dorothy Needham with the chapter number and/or subject to which they referred. Items 57-60 were unlabelled. The flyleaves of most of the volumes are inscribed either 'Dept of Biochemistry', '1 Owlstone Road', or 'The Master's Lodge, Caius College, Cambridge'.
