File includes correspondence and papers relating to: state scholarship, maintenance grants; Girton fees 1949 and 1952; Girton and Newnham joint scholarship examinations and London Intercollegiate scholarship examinations; admission (including telegram dated 22 March 1949 offering a place at Girton); exhibitions; room allocation; college routine; academical dress; furnishings; exemption from the Cambridge Previous Examination; general regulations; exam results (including handwritten letters from Helen Megaw); joining the Roll 1952; invitations to coffee with the Mistress 1954 and 1955; presentation of MA 1956. Also: notice from the Bursar about heating of undergraduate rooms, 1950; CK’s college bills 1950-53; and a copy of a letter from the Vice-Chancellor sent to colleges in consequence of disturbances on Guy Fawkes day, 1948. Also letter to CK from Mary Pym of Girton asking her to help with Girton College SCM [Student Christian Mission?] events, October 1951.
