Scope and Contents
Collected file containing the following:
1) Girton and Newnham joint entrance and scholarship examination papers in history, translation papers, essay paper and general paper, 1927 and 1928, also regulations for 1929 entrance and scholarship examinations;
2) programme of African Dances by members of the Mende Tribe of Sierra Leone at the Festival Theatre, Cambridge 8 March 1934, annotated with comments by Major Hans Visscher;
3) press cuttings chiefly concerning Jean Lindsay giving talks at prize-givings, 1949-56, including: Torquay Girls' Grammar School 13 December 1956, including photo; and Grangefield Grammar School for Girls, Stockton [1950s], entitled 'Girls' Talents Wasted at 16', in which J L referred to the Coffee Pot Clubs;
4) letter to Jean Lindsay from Shirley [Whatmough?] 5 March 1956;
