Scope and Contents
Volume containing various verses and other chiefly literary extracts. Written in various hands, one of them probably Bertha Swirles'. First page entitled 'Choice Gleanings'. Extracts not dated, but the volume also contains loose news cuttings, 1936-43, and some pages from a 1921 calendar. The volume also contains, loose, a letter from Mercy G Blaxley, addressed from 17 East Park Parade, Northampton, 20 July 1924, to a Mr and Mrs Pollard, sending condolences on the death of their daughter Ruth; and a printed semon entitled The Men God Can Use, given by the Rev James Reid at St Andrew's (Presbyterian) Church, Eastbourne (no date).
