Michaelmas Term 1904, 1904-10 - 1904-12
Scope and Contents
DH returns for a fourth year, reading economics, for which she has to study calculus, as well as modern European history. She continues to receive material from home, which helps her with essays and debates. DH’s motion.. ‘International morality ought to conform to private morality’ .. is chosen for the Oxford/Cambridge debate at the end of term; DH is the proposer, and Helen Verrall (Newnham) the seconder. Several Girtonians travel to Oxford for this debate, which Cambridge wins 61-33. At the end of term, a Christmas party is again given for the gyps, which is a great success.
