'Lorca: notes and drafts for B[odas] de [S[angre]', 1971 - 1975
Scope and Contents
Bundle of papers found in a boxfile labelled ‘Lorca Plays’, in which this bundle was labelled ‘Lorca: notes and drafts for B de S - take to 11 Marlowe Road’. The papers are now in one file and comprise handwritten and typescript notes and drafts on Bodas de Sangre and include the following:
Notebook entitled ‘Bodas de Sangre draft’, comprising circa 40 pages handwritten notes, preceded by what appear to be some miscellaneous handwritten accounts relating to ‘CCLP’;
Notes on related reading;
Note written on the back of a small blank invitation card printed ‘Monsieur et Madame Alec Grant prient - - - de leur faire le plaisir de venir - - RSVP 4, rue Saint Florentin [Paris] 1er’;
Letter to HG from Kenelm Foster [Kenelm Foster, OP [Order of Preachers], 1910-86, scholar and preacher], addressed from Blackfriars, Cambridge, 28 February 1975, in which he thanks her for coming to his lecture and discusses the study of Dante and evidence for Lorca having read Dante.
