Scope and Contents

Two notes (23 April 1846 and 10 July 1846) to JCG thanking author of ‘Love’s Trial’ for sending him the play, and returning same.
Transcription:
1) 5 Clarence Terrace, April 23 1846.
Mr.Macready, with his best compliments, begs to acknowledge the receipt of a copy of Love’s Trial, and to offer his thanks to the Author for it. He will gladly give his first leisure to its perusal, when relieved from the weight of business at present pressing on him.
To the Author of Love's Trial.
2) 5 Clarence Terrace, July 10 1846.
Mr.Macready present his compliments to the author of Love's Trial and begs to thank him for the pleasure its perusal has afforded him
