Scope and Contents

Books owned by Veronica Forrest-Thomson, annotated throughout in her hand:

6) Sylvia Plath, Winter Trees (London: Faber and Faber, 1971). 'Veronica Forrest-Thomson 11/71 Cantab';
7) J H Prynne, 'Wound Response' (Street Editions, Cambridge 1974). The title page has a dedication from Prynne ('For Veronica Forrest-Thomson & there is no limit at all: what we know we thus surmount'), in which he calls himself J Hah Prynne, dated Cambridge 30 September 1974. 'The Blade Given Back', pp 6-7, is annotated by V F-T and the book is accompanied by a sheet of paper written in V F-T's hand which appears to comprise a critical response to Prynne's poem;
8) 'L'Aventure Dada (1916-1922): Essai, dictionnaire et textes choisis par George Hugnet' (Editions Seghers 1971). 'Veronica Forrest-Thomson Paris 8/72' [the annotations in the opening pages contain phrases and draft passages which eventually comprised parts of V F-T's poem, 'Le Pont Traverse: Ode'];
9) Yves Bonnefoy, 'Rimbaud par lui-même' (Aux Editions du Seuil, 1961). 'Veronica Forrest 15/4/65'.
