Letter from Thomas Markby, Cambridge, to Emily Davies, 1865-03-17
Scope and Contents
Regulations for the examination of girls have been approved by the [Local Examinations] Syndicate. Those opposed to the scheme show signs of turning. TM has no sympathy for the Liverpool opponents. There will be local committees of ladies; the main difficulty will be in finding premises to examine girls separately from boys.
