Reports the various views at Cambridge on ED's proposal. Advises against bringing the matter to the Senate at present for fear it would be rejected. Is personally in favour of bringing schools under University inspection, which could include girls' schools. Comments on the membership of the Committee [for the Proposed Admission of Girls to University Local Examinations]. Refers to enclosing correspondence with the Lord Chancellor and Mr [John] Mayor of St John's College, which a postscript reports he has been unable to find.
