Reports in detail on a conversation with Mrs Lewes [George Eliot]: on her health, on morals and the teaching of morals. Ad. [Adelaide Manning] is to teach moral topics at Miss Leighton's school. There has been controversy on the subject between her, ED and Mrs [Charlotte] Burbury. (Lady Stephen, Emily Davies and Girton College, page 184, names Jane Crow as the addressee.) Unsigned and unaddressed, some lines scored out, incomplete at beginning and end. 4 pages.
