Scope and Contents
'I wish you could see us all admiring and enjoying your beautiful gift. It is the first picture I ever possessed, and delights me as a fine painting'. Refers to enclosing a [poem?] entitled Refuge and another "trifle" acompanying it. At the bottom of the transcript there is a note from [Frances Thomas?] explaining that she cannot so far trace any poem by Christina Rossetti entitled Refuge.
