Manuscript arrived yesterday; sending it to press. May I put your initials to it? The 'Reader' started by Maurician set, Mr Ludlow editor at £10.10 a week. Have promised to continue editing the Journal. Losing £40 a year; subscribers still fall off. Miss Sewell doing good work and taking me to see Dr Edmunds to talk about a Medical School for women. Saw Mrs Russell Gurney yesterday. Lizzie Garrett flourishes and Isa [Craig] is much better.
