List of records relating to the 'Capital T' Social Club and Canteen [later the Capital T Club], 1943-1960, and the Leicester Anchor Club, 1958-1971. The records were donated to Leicester Record Office 9 May 2003; the list is dated Feb. 2004. Also related letter from the Record Office 16 March 2004. [The 'Capital T' Club was established in March 1943 by temperance organisations in Leicester to offer Canadian and American service personnel an alternative to using public houses. The Leicester Anchor Club was founded in 1961 as a club for ex-offenders. With her interests in temperance and in prison welfare, Gertrude Bishop (Rosemary Bishop's mother) was a driving force in both organisations.]
