[Sarah Mason's diary entry for 26 April 1880 reads: 'Spoke in the Junior Debate on the subject 'Acting has more influence than painting and scupture! There were nine members present, all I think who belong. My motion was carried as it stood. So ends my last speech in the Junior Debate. I have spoken three times'. The entry for 27 April begins 'Business meeting of the Big Debate to elect new members - - - '].
