The file contains the following:
1) Circular sent to volunteers [1965?] giving brief background on Jennifer Gray, the designer, together with instructions to volunteers relating to the stitches required and options for designs, all based on symbols used in early Christian art;
2) Circular letter from Anne Clark Hutchison, addressed to Madeleine Binnington, 16 June 1965, concerning designs, stitches, a request to volunteers to produce a sampler in the first instance and the proposed regional organisation of voluntary work for the scheme;
3) Handwritten letter from Sylvia Smither to Madeleine Binnington, 27 October 1965, thanking her for her sampler and her letter of 25 October, suggesting that M B might like to undertake the Christ fish design and advising on stitching;
4) Typescript note relating to the design of a trial piece with a honeycomb background [1965].
