She recounts entrance examinations and interviews at both Girton College and Royal Holloway College. Friends and acquaintances in Cambridge included Charlotte Naish [Girton 1927] and Nora Aris [née Tombs, Newnham 1927]. She also describes meeting her husband for the first time, ie on a bus journey from Bournemouth to Cambridge, and the process of deciding on her post-Cambridge career.
