Letters of thanks from participants in the 1945 Working Women's Summer School, 1945 - 1946
Scope and Contents
Letters written to Helen McMorran by the following immediately after the WWSS, as follows:
Phyllis Simmons (also a follow-up letter 12 April 1946 concerning her progression into training for Moral Welfare Work);
Kathleen Reeves (also a follow-up letter 22 August indicating her intention to undertake some writing as a result of feeling more confident after taking part in the WWSS);
Alice Thompson - the classes have given her much to think about, more self-confidence and a greater enjoyment of leisure hours;
Ethel O’Connor, who says no good purpose would be served by further publicity of the Sunday Express type so she didn’t keep her appointment with the Evening News reporter; the time was all too short and she was often in a quandary as to whether to take part in the very pleasant social life or give all the time to study.
