Papers compiled by Mary Cartwright as Treasurer of the Working Women's Summer School 1945. File contains the following:
1) Typescript statement of expenditure and receipts (the latter comprising £97 in donations from 66 Old Girtonians) as at 8 May 1945, together with estimated expenditure for the first Summer School in 1945; also related handwritten notes and handwritten draft summary of accounts as at 17 August 1945, and a typescript circular advertising the proposed Summer School in 1945;
2) Handwritten ‘Draft Summary of Accounts’, on lined paper with printed heading ‘Girton College Working Women’s Summer School’, dated Aug 17th 1945 and initialled M L C, comprising receipts and expenditure, with a note indicating that members of the committee have not yet been paid for their lectures and some members have contributed substantial sums towards WWSS entertainments which do not appear in the accounts;
3) Handwritten summary of accounts for the 1945 Summer School (income = £264, expenditure = £264); together with printed version of same with, on reverse, printed request for subscriptions from Old Students towards the expenses for the 1947 Summer School.
