Scope and Contents
The file contains the following: form letter from K M E Murray, Hon Secretary, advertising the 1947 WWSS, dated March 1947, together with a list of organisations to which the letter was sent, including companies, women’s organisations; factories, university settlements, colleges for working women and hospitals. Also correspondence with various organisations concerning the placing of advertisements for the WWSS in their publications, January - April 1947, namely:
‘The Labour Woman’, a publication of the Labour Party, including a copy of ‘The Labour Woman’ March-April 1947;
Journal of the Institute of Personnel Management;
Industrial Welfare and Personnel Management (published by the Industrial Welfare Society), including a copy of the journal March-April 1947;
Harold L Walker, advertising representative for a number of journals, including The Highway (the Journal of the Workers’ Educational Association), including a copy of The Highway, March 1947;
‘Home & Country’ (published by the National Federation of Women’s Institutes), including a copy of Home & Country April 1947.
