Scope and Contents
Conference papers, pamphlets, reports, articles etc, much of the material relating to women's control over their own bodies, abortion, contraception, childbirth, pre-menstrual tension, breastfeeding, sexually transmitted diseases, nursing and mental health. In particular:
Leaflet concerning a campaign against Depo-Provera, a contraceptive injection lasting 3-6 months;
Red Rag pamphlet no. 2, 1974, entitled 'Women and the Welfare State';
Red Therapy, concerning group therapy undertaken by a 'leaderless self-help therapy group';
Hilary Graham and Lorna McKee, 'Ideologies of Motherhood and Medicine on Radio and Television', being a paper from the British Sociological Association Conference 1978;
Women, Health and the Revolution - by Carol Smith of the Lancaster Women and Socialism Group, c. 1978.
