'The Girton Note', circa 1890?
Scope and Contents
Blank black edged mourning stationery in a decorative black and silver box, illustrated with an image of a woman wearing a mortar board. The box bears the name 'The Girton Note'. Manufacturer unknown but the box and the inner label note that the item is 'Entered at Stationers' Hall'. No date found but probably late 19thC. The box bears the label of Stephen Long's antique shop in Fulham, where it was purchased circa 2005.
