Studio portrait photograph. Full face, half figure, chin leant on right hand. Mounted on card, inscribed 'Yevonde, 92 Victoria Street, SW'. Inscribed on back 'To Dorothea with love'. It is not certain who Dorothea was: according to the donor, she was not a family member.

Biographical / Historical
Yevonde Middleton, nee Cumbers, 1893-1975. A photographer who set up in London aged 21 and pioneered the use of colour in portrait photography. She used the professional name Madame Yevonde.
