1) Girton College degree certificate, declaring that she attained 3rd class honours according to the standard qualifying for the same in Part I of the University of Cambridge Classical Tripos, 1906;
2) University of Cambridge certificate of placement in the third class of Part I of the Classical Tripos, 1906.

Biographical / Historical
Hilda Elizabeth Bullen was born in 1881 in Hove, Sussex, the daughter of Thomas Bullen, pharmaceutical chemist, and Hannah Baldock. Educated privately, she came to Girton College in 1903 to study Classics. She then taught successively at the following: Pines School, Ilkley (1906-08); Grove School, Highgate (1908-12); Miss Easton's Pension, Paris (1913-14); Abbot's Hill School, Hemel Hempstead (1914-16); Forres (Boys') Prep School (1916-18); Francis Holland School (1919-37); York College (1937-40); Bishop Creighton House Settlement, Fulham (1941); Ovingdean Hall (Boys') School and Westonbirt (1942); and York College (1943, one term as acting Head Mistress).
