'PDJ on Religion', 2001
Scope and Contents
Exchange of letters between P D James and Clair Jacquiss of the BBC – ‘PDJ on Religion’, 2001. A fax from Clair Jaquiss, producer of BBC Religious Programmes, 20 September 2001, asks PDJ to contribute to a radio programme for advent based on ‘The Word’; PDJ’s reply, 25 September 2001, indicates that she is increasingly reluctant to take part in religious programmes because she is ‘unorthodox’ and ‘it seems rather like sailing under false colours’, but agrees to take part in this programme as she feels she can share her feelings on the coming of Advent etc.
