Correspondence and papers originally housed in a box file (labelled as above) relating to the planning, writing, editing, publication, publicity and marketing of ‘Talking about Detective Fiction’ (including an American edition published by Knopf), an examination of the British detective novel. Includes correspondence with Carol Heaton [PDJ's literary agent] and with Samuel Fanous, Head of Communications and Publishing at the Bodleian Library; also some publicity material, including a large colour photograph of PDJ by Theo Chalmers taken for the slipcase edition.
