Libellus contra Ricardum Tollet, 1512
Scope and Contents
Richard Tollet, B.Civ.L. of Oxford, incorporated at Cambridge 1502/3, D.Civ.L. of Cambridge, 1503/4, was an advocate in the Prerogative Court. The charges here listed, of Tollet's impugning the privileges of the court is part of the action by the suffragan bishops against Archbishop Warham in 1512 concerning the right of the court to claim probate jurisdiction (and fees) over those who died with bona notabilia in more than one diocese.
