The letter is addressed to Sir Edmund de la Pole, Eudo la Zouche, John Rome, John Pechel, clerks, Ralph Bateman and Thomas Morice who are charged with enlisting the assistance of honest citizens (unlike those carrying off the stones of the bridge) to remedy the situation.
