Scope and Contents
Both William Stanley (resigned 1698) and Thomas Greene (1698-1716) are named as masters in the documents cited, as is Thomas Tenison as Archbishop of Canterbury (1695-1715). Although the case was found for the parishioners, according to Masters (p. 181) the case was put into reference, when Dr Robert Moss, Dean of Ely (1713-29), on the part of the college, agreed to give to the parishioners £150 for the former, and the latter was purchased of Henry Whistler for £400.
