Scope and Contents
The manor contains a messuage, 200 acres of arable, 30 acres of woodland and 4 acres of meadow with 50 shillings' worth of fixed rents, hedges, ditches, easements, etc. Fee to John of one clove annually and to the crown 40 shillings and one mark, more or less.
Witnesses: Sir Robert de Welnetham; Sir Thomas de Laneham; Sir Peter de Burgate; Robert de Waldingfield; Thomas Galant; William de Bello Campo [Beauchamp]; Ralph de St Osith; John son of Gilbert; Godfrey de Laneham.
The places of origin of many of the witnesses suggest a property in Suffolk.
