William had the tenement by gift of his father, Robert; land which he has sold to Hugh Wyth excepted; as also a messuage for which William and his heirs will pay Walter an annual rent of 14d.

(The deed is written on a scrap vellum previously used for pen trials, and repetitive copy of: 'Omnibus est notum quod multum diligo potum'.
