The messuage is in the parish of St Andrew outside Barnwell gate between a messuage of John de Essex and a messuage of Geoffrey Pawe and abuts on Swinecroft and on Preacher Street; 2 acres lie between land of the Prior of Barnwell and land of the nuns of St Radegund and abut on Greencroft and on the high road; 2 acres lie towards Hinton next to land of the said Prior and abut on Hinton mere and on land of the Prior of the Chapel of St Edmund; 1 acre lies between land of the Prior of Barnwell and land of William de Duxworth and abuts on land of the said Prior and on the Green mere which divides Hinton and Barnwell.
