Scope and Contents
On 14 October 1649 the college had leased the property to John Sadler for a term of years here left blank; Sadler on 18 Feb. 1649/50 assigned the lease to James Levington (deceased previous husband of Anne Countess of Dumfries) for £500; Levington's lease was renewed by the college on 12 July 1656 for a term of 21 years. Levington on 24 July 1658 assigned the lease to John Cople and William Hawkes to the use of Levington, and on his death to Anne his wife and on her death to Anne Ballantine.
Endorsed with witness statements and signatures for each signatory.
