Grant to Hugh de Impington of 4 selions and a croft in Middelton [Milton], part of his mother's dowry, in exchange for half an acre of land in Impington held of Hugh by fee of Gilbert., 1252-04-15
Scope and Contents
The selions lie between land of Henry Beaufort and land of Regina Harsent, and comprise a croft formerly of Simon Cook in Landbeach, one selion lies between land of Gilbert and land of Robert son of Luke above Thwerslond; another above Mormeteforlong between land of Ida daughter of Simon Cook and land of Richard son of Roger; and the third lies towards Renheles between land of Roger Alwine and land of Matilda his sister, excepting the close of the said croft in which the said Simon Cook used to live and the commons pertaining to the said close and lands in and about Landbeach. The half acre in Impington fields lies at Methemare next to land of Bernard son of Eustace, in acknowledgement of receipt whereof Gilbert frees Hugh's land in Landbeach from all service.
