Scope and Contents
The tenement lies between the gate of St Bene't's churchyard (E) and a college tenement occupied by George Sutton (W) and abuts (N) on the highway leading towards pease market hill. The lease is to take effect on the determination of a lease granted to Henry Halmoringe, alias Griffin (see 167) for 21 years dated 26 Nov, 1556, expiring in 1577.
Endorsements: 1. 'the lease of Bennet Colledge house viz: wardals'; 2. 'Memorandum: this lease was surrendered by Gossen Artsen to the master and Fellows of the Coll: within named the ixth day of Febr. 1599. Eliz. xlijo.'
