Lease for twenty years to Richard Love, apothecary, of a void piece of ground in the east end of Great St Mary's churchyard adjoining all along to the tenements in Love's tenure, 1588-10-29
Scope and Contents
The lease is made in consideration of Love's undertaking to make within two months a door in the north side of the chancel for the use of the university and town for their better going into the church, and of 2s 6d annual rent.
Love is to fence the piece of ground and not to alienate it.
Note at head: 'p. 238 entred'
Endorsed (much later): 'Lease of the yard from Trinity {parish} colledge/ ' and, later still, 'The severall leases of the yard'.
