Letter to Richard Love, 1641-02-15
Scope and Contents
The gentleman sent by Love has allowed of two scholars in Botesdale school, but does not know whether the friends of one of them, Bynge, will dispose him that way. Sir Edmund urges Love to confer the place on the other, Cushion, if he appears worthy.
A Charles Bing matriculated from the college at Michaelmas 1641, but he was a Cambridge man, not a Norfolk one. A Peter and a Samuel Cushing were admitted in 1639, Peter as of Norwich, Samuel as of Norfolk. It is presumably Samuel who is meant.
